This is the Pono BN4-1 'Big Baritone' ukulele - effectively a tenor guitar body that has been modified to take regular tuning baritone strings. This big body and all solid cedar / acacia gives you an instrument with an amazingly long sustain - with rounded bass notes that are in great harmony and balance with the crispness of the highs.

The BN4-1 has a lot going for it... plenty of volume, really (really!) good note separation, a perfect gloss finish and perfectly dressed frets. It sounds great up the neck as well. The bigger body delivers a lot more than just more volume, it is a really lovely tone.

It might have a big body, but the neck is a comfortable and manageable 35mm, with Ko'Olau strings (two wound, two nylon) and a lovely smooth ebony fingerboard and bridge.

Importantly for something that is slightly unusual, it comes with a custom, very well padded gig bag.
