This is a rare beast, a cutaway electro concert, of good quality, available for left handers with all the bits on the right place! The all solid mahogany CK-35GCE-LH from Ohana has a cutaway and pre-amp controls in the correct position for left handers (tried hard not to say the 'right position').

The mahogany body is handsome, shining under the gloss finish, with some pretty maple and ebony purfling alongside the dark hardwood binding and, forming a soundhole rosette. The fingerboard is smooth and the fairly shallow neck profile means the 35mm nut with is ample for your fingers.

A decent preamp with tone and volume controls is fitted, with an undersaddle pickup - crucially with the jack input angled correctly for a leftie. The unit also has a handy built-in tuner. The amplified sound is clean and unfussy - not half bad! Acoustically, and the Aquila strings and gloss finish push out some good projection and a crispness to the high notes - a great balance alongside the richness given by the solid mahogany body.
