This is a brand new ukulele that is being sold at a discount as it’s available to me on a special offer - so I am passing the discount on. Pono’s prices are set to rise by 33%, an increase that seems beyond the pale. So it might be that we don’t see any new Pono ukes arrive in the UK any longer - at least until prices stablise (if they ever do). As a result, the distributor in the UK is moving on stock so they can invest in other things, hence the discount.

The Pono AT is a satin finish all acacia ukulele. That satin finish and the solid acacia combine to give a laid back, relaxed and warm tone. It’s not blessed with huge projection and clarity, but rather a mellowness that echoes the Hawaiian roots of Ko’Olau, the brand behind Pono.

It has a 35mm nut witdh and a fairly chunky, palm-filling neck profile, and has been fitted with great quality Grover geared tuners and nylon Ko’Olau Alohi strings.
