This is the all solid mahogany aNueNue T30 tenor ukulele, part of the company's 'Hawaiian Dream' series. I'm not that much of a fan of the name of the series, given these aren't made in Hawaii... but the ukes themselves are good quality, with a really good, clean build and finish, and an excellent tone for the money.

This one is made from all solid mahogany, which isn't the most interesting of woods to look at, but the sets used to make these instruments are pleasantly patterned with some nice grain - very good by mahogany standards. The looks are subtle elsewhere too, with a rope-style soundhole motif blending in nicely.

There's a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, with mother of pearl inlaid position markers and decent geared tuners. And the aNueNue T30 has the company's own Clear Water fluorocarbon strings, which are a big favourite of mine.

The nut width is 36.5mm, despite reports elsewhere which vary a bit - I've measured this myself so if you see other widths advertised, they're incorrect. This is a nice width, with a bit of extra room for those who need it, without going full 'wide neck' for those like me who favour a standard 35mm.

The tone does carry some mahogany warmth but is bigger and brighter than you might expect, with excellent volume and a strong, chiming quality when strummed. aNueNue have kept some of the DNA of their expensive Moon Bird series with these instruments, with bracing patterns that encourage a forward, strong response when picking.
