This is the electro version of the aNueNue Cedar Bird, the UT-214E. It’s the same as the (stunning) cedar bird, but with the inclusion of an aNueNue Air Air pickup. This is an active pickup with a volume control inside the soundhole, plus the ability to blend between the internal high tech microphone and an undersaddle piezo pickup, giving you the flexibility to achieve a more natural tone. It’s a lovely bit of kit and sounds great, as befits such a high quality ukulele.

The aNueNue UT-214E has a solid cedar top, and solid Indian rosewood back and sides, a classic combination in the modern classic body shape of aNueNue’s bird series, with it’s off centre spalted maple soundhole decoration and cool cutaway shape, with larger than average bottom bout.

The Cedar Bird certainly sings, with great sustain and a lovely chiming tone, really nicely balanced with a nod towards the extra bass response that the body shape provides. It really is a fantastic sounding instrument, a top level ukulele that has already become a much sought after model. With the pickup too, it’s versatile and deserving its place amongst the most exciting pro-level ukuleles available today.

The UT-214E has a 36.5mm nut width, and is supplied with a hard case, Gotoh UPT (superb) tuners and aNueNue black water strings.
