This is the full carbon fibre version of the Klos tenor ukulele, with a pickup included in this electro tenor version. Made in the USA, these instruments are strong, impervious to humidity changes but far more importantly, play beautifully and sounds sweet, rich and warm.

The Klos tenor uke really is supremely playable, with a lovely warm and sparkly tone. The acoustic volume is quite ample (if not the loudest - more average than a real powerhouse), but the tone is very pretty indeed. The trebles are clear and sweet and the sustain, which is really good, ebbs gently away in a warm wash of richness.

This model includes an active pickup with tone and volume controls, and a built in tuner. It has fluorocarbon strings, geared tuners and 35mm nut width. Two strap buttons are included, as is a Klos-branded padded gig bag.

Carbon fibre is superbly strong, but remarkably appropriate for use in a musical instrument. I have already mentioned how nice it sounds, but I can tell you that it took some doing to put it down and write this description! True, it’s quite a lot of money, but it’s an expensive, high tech material, made in the US, and it’s lovely too.
