The Millar TM-260WG is an excellent tenor ukulele, with fantastic warmth from the all solid mahogany body, with great clarity and punch from the fitted Worth Brown strings. It really is a ukulele that has a bit of everything. The small Taiwanese family business that makes these instruments have really excelled themselves with the TM-260WG, which is a brilliant step-up instrument for people who want a touch of high end quality and tone, without overstretching their budget.

The mahogany used is nicely patterned - very attractive as mahogany goes - and it is accentuated by the perfect gloss finish. There's maple and ebony rope binding to really make this tenor eye-catching, which also appears around the soundhole and the headstock. The quality, Korean-made closed geared tuners are smooth and effective, with a jaunty look from the pinky orange buttons.

The TM-260WG has an average nut width, 35mm, with a clever flattened area as the neck meets the headstock, providing a great point to anchor your thumb when playing chords. It feels and plays really well (which isn't the most eloquent of descriptions, but gets the point over!)

This Millar ukulele has loads of volume, and a great balance between brightness and warmth. The subtleties you can explore are endless - for example, with the thumb you can get a smooth wash of warmth, but playing more aggressively brings the crisp trebles to the fore.

This ukulele reminds me of both the aNueNue AMM3 mahogany ukulele, and the Kiwaya KPT-1M - almost a hybrid of both - which is praise indeed as that's a pair of fantastic instruments!
