The Millar MP-210 is the latest in the stable of excellent soprano ukuleles made by this small family company in Taiwan. This one is made from attractive solid maple, with some lovely grain and flaming.

The MP-210 has a satin finish, with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge, Fremont blackline strings and 35mm bone nut. It plays really well, with an easy, low action and smooth neck, which has a flattened portion just below the first fret which gives you a comfortable anchor point for your thumb.

The sound is lively, with a nice chiming effect, but with a rounded, warmer tinge. I find maple has a smooth tone, not overly bright, but with enough punch for picking out melodies.
